Los Angeles is probably the dream city to be in, not because it is portrayed as one but mostly because of what this city has to offer. But we are often on the run, trying to escape the usual hustle and bustle of any cityscape (mostly because it’s exhausting and exhilarating at the same time). Of course, part of escaping the traffic is not having to fight it on the way out. So consider renting a private Los Angeles charter bus or minibus for your group. It’ll give you all a chance to disconnect from your stresses and reconnect with each other during the commute, and no one will have to worry about anyone getting lost along the way. Then, make a mixtape, hop on your bus and be set for the road trip that you have always craved to be a part of. Here, you will be handed with places that you can possibly include or go to for your wild ventures escaping the cityscapes.
1. Palm Springs
A quick detour from the roads to the city will land you at the Palm Springs. You will probably come across the Cabazon dinosaur which is almost about 50 feet tall, this easily gets a lot of attention but mostly because it’s unavoidable. The belly of the dinosaur also has a small gift shop which fits comfortably there. If you are wondering how to take a picture while sitting inside the mouth of this dinosaur then you’ll have to pay for its entry fee which h will allow you to climb on top of this dino. This place also houses a good number of architectural splendours, give yourself a tour of these modernist buildings at Palm Springs Visitor’s Centre.
2. Creepy Locations at LA
Driving to LA is a different experience altogether but be sure to prepare yourself for it. It is quite important to learn some travel hacks before going to drives/trips such as these. Look out for Calico Ghost Town which isn’t quite of an authentic ghost town but it will be a detour worth taking in. If you want something which is extremely unconventional and sketchy, then head to exit 23 or I-15 which will land you to the former shell of Zzyzx Mineral Springs and Health Spa. This place was founded by Rob Curtis Howe Springer who duped his customers into believing that the springs had healing elements when in reality it was just a boiler heated pool. Obviously, you’ll be hungry by now and for that, you need to try the Mad Greek. Pack some food for the rest of your drive and be on your way towards the sin city.
3. Lake Tahoe
California has some of the most beautiful roads that you’ll ever come across and route 365 is no exception. Drive to the eastern Sierras and make sure to go for a food walk. This place is perfect to drive around to and while you are at it, head for the mountains where you’ll find hot springs, pine forests et al. At the end of your visit, drop in the Yosemite National Park. If you have some time left to kill, then a short visit to Bodie would be nice. It is one of the most legitimate ghost towns in the states that is well preserved.
These list doesn’t essentially cover all the destinations but it gives you a glimpse of the places that you should look out for. These destinations were picked according to their popularity and the rates at which they are being visited.
